Ayla’s Academic Success

Ayla’s Academic Success

Ayla is an active, energetic and confident young girl. Despite this, she was struggling academically and needed help from a tutor. The Foundation placed her with a tutor that best fit her needs and her personality. She now shows huge improvements in her studies! If she continues with her progress, she should be well on track to graduate.

In addition to becoming an accomplished student, Ayla also takes part in many extracurricular activities. She is involved in dynamic sports like soccer and volleyball, takes an active role in her school’s fundraiser and, most notably, placed 2nd in her school’s spelling bee. She continues to excel in her studies and loves working with her tutor, who described her as “preparing herself to be competitive.”

Ayla represents the importance of educational advocacy for children in foster care. Her involvement with the B.E.S.T. Program, along with her tutor and Project Manager, gave her the motivation to pursue activities she has come to love. Without support and guidance from an advocate, Ayla might not have succeeded in school as easily. With a consistent support network in place, however, she is able to follow her interests and prepare herself for a lucrative future.
