Touching Lives Through Education

We’d like to share yet another Foundation success story! John is one of the students receiving tutoring through our Education+ program. John’s tutor, Amy-of Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services, sent us the following message after attending his graduation ceremony:

“I’ve never felt so much pride for a student. Such an awesome day to be able to share with him. The hug and beam in his eyes of pride to see me was priceless. My fiancé and I took him out for sushi after his graduation to celebrate. I saw him on Snapchat at dinner and noticed his pics of our dinner as well as the 3 of us that he posted. He actually put ‘dinner with family’ as our pics caption. I had to hold my tears till I dropped him off. I hope this touches you as much as it did me.”

Moments like this prove how much our kids value the Foundation for Foster Children. John got academic assistance from the Education+ Program, but he also found a family. These mentorship programs focus on creating long-lasting relationships as well as independence skills.
