Orlando City Soccer’s Newest Banner Kids! Foster Kids Enrichment Program

Imagine being a kid in front of thousands of people, in a huge arena on game day, waiting for famous soccer players to step on the turf right next to you. That’s exactly what our kiddos got to do last night! As part of the Foster Kids Enrichment Program, Orlando City Foundation offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to a group of eight youth. Not only did they get to tour behind the scenes, they were also stars of the center field during the pre-game ceremony! Their very important role was to display the Orlando City Foundation banner, and they did an impeccable job.

The exciting match-up was between Orlando City and Toronto FC. The kids were absolutely thrilled to be on the field with all of the soccer stars, experience the national anthem and fireworks, and then watch the teams battle it out in the game afterward. The kids said they felt “famous”, “great”, “happy”, “excited”, and “awesome”.
