Meet Haifa!

UCF Students Volunteer and Intern Work

Haifa from UCF has been voluntarily interning with the Foundation this year for twenty hours a week. Haifa is a student at the UCF (University of Central Florida), currently working toward her Master of Nonprofit Management. She is due to graduate in 2017. Haifa has a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration and has received several academic honors, such as President’s Honor Roll, Dean’s List, and the UCF Golden Knights Award. During her internship, she has assisted with various projects for the core programs at the Foundation. She has really enjoyed learning even more about the workings of a nonprofit, as well as the foster care system. Haifa explained that knowing she’s been able to make an impact on foster children has been very rewarding!

In addition to interning with us, and completing full-time coursework, she is also a graduate research assistant, a sought-after position at the university. We are so thankful she has chosen not only to fit us into her busy schedule but do so with reliability and skill. Some of her hobbies include reading mystery and science fiction books, collecting quotes that inspire her, writing poetry, drawing, and listening to music.

Thank you, Haifa, for your dedication to foster youth!
