Holiday Shopping Event

This holiday will be extra special for four foster families thanks to the generosity of the Phillips and Regilio families. Invitations were sent to the families – with 23 children between them – to meet at Walmart where they were surprised with a full-fledged holiday shopping spree and visits from Santa!

This is the second year for this special shopping event – the brainchild of Ernie, Angie and Addison Phillips.  Joined this year by donors Mark and Nicole Regilio, and other donors and volunteers from Resource Consulting Group, the goal was to add some extra magic to Christmas for these families.

Each family member, including caregivers, was paired with a volunteer helper and instructed to select items in the store that are on their Wish Lists so it would be easier for Santa to pick out gifts for them.  Volunteers helped keep everyone within a predetermined budget.  Little did they know that Santa would be getting them EVERYTHING in their shopping carts!!

The elves over at Corkcicle assisted us by picking up all the new toys and clothes at Walmart and wrapping each and every one!

What a team effort!!  Our sincere appreciation to everyone who pitched in to make the holidays special for our families.
