Girl Scouts Making Birthday Cards

Girl Scouts Making Birthday Cards

Girl Scouts Troop 1673 sent us this photo of their birthday card making session. The cards look beautiful already and will be sure to put a smile on a foster child’s face!

Each month the Foundation mails out handmade birthday cards to children in foster care. We want them to know that someone remembered their special day and a handmade card gives a personal touch that can bring a smile to a child’s face. It is truly a highlight for our kids! And it’s super easy. Have your class, family or scout troop be creative and make someone smile!

Here are the instructions:

  • Please use 8.5″x11″ card stock (white or color) and fold in half horizontally.
  • Cards should not have any names on them (no “to” or “from” [name]).
  • The cards should read “happy birthday” on the outside and a positive message such as “have a great day” on the inside. It’s best to stick to these positive greetings.
  • Gender neutral cards are encouraged.
  • Be creative and use color generously!
  • Mail the cards to our address:
    • 2265 Lee Rd Suite 203 Winter Park, FL 32789
