Transformers and Minions Are Taking Over!

Bags and Suitcases for Foster Children

The FFC office just got a whole lot cuter thanks to an in-kind donation of Transformers and Minion bags and suitcases from Universal Orlando. These suitcases will be very much appreciated by our kids!

More about Safe Spaces and Supplies:

Foster children are placed in care as wards of the state due to abuse and neglect. Due to no fault of their own, these children come in through the dependency court system. On average 40-65 children per month enter the system in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. Too often, foster children are shifted from one placement to another and find themselves having to put their clothing and belongings in garbage bags as they prepare to move. Unfortunately, the message these children often get is that they are disposable.

To try and solve this problem, The Foundation for Foster Children provides emergency backpacks and duffels to child protective investigative centers. By giving something as simple as a bag to call their own, we tell our youth that they and their belongings are valued. This ensures that foster children in the tri-county area can have something of their own, immediately when they enter care. (Luggage is also given as needed.)
