A Special Day of Enrichment at Cornell Fine Arts Museum

Special Day at Cornell Fine Arts Museum

Cornell Fine Arts Museum has been an instrumental partner in the enrichment of foster kids. They are co-hosting many memorable art events for foster children.  On August 26th, the children were able to experience a day of creativity.  During this enrichment event, they toured the exhibition, Patrick Martinez: American Memorial.

Time for Creativity

In addition to the guided tour, the kids ate lunch and then created a memory keepsake box, a wooden heart-shaped box, and mixed media items, to decorate it.  They adored this project and worked diligently on their creations.  They left, the Museum proud of their finished product, and ready to store special trinkets in their very own keepsake box.

Special thanks to Louise Buyo, Education Coordinator, Dr. Ena Heller, Bruce A. Beal Director and Foundation volunteers.
