Graham Ryckman — Advocate

Graham Ryckman is an Advocate with the Foundation for Foster Children, where he works directly with youth to support their growth, independence, and sense of self as they transition into adulthood. Graham studied at the Flint Institute of Arts and was previously dual enrolled at the University of Michigan. He is currently a student at the University of Central Florida studying psychology, with academic interests in counseling and cognitive psychology. His educational background, paired with his hands-on advocacy work, informs a trauma-informed, relational approach centered on trust, consistency, and individualized support.

Graham is driven by a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-based support. He has previously worked alongside youth-focused support organizations dedicated to creating supportive, affirming environments for underserved communities. Through his work, Graham strives to foster spaces where young people feel seen, respected, and empowered to build confidence, practical life skills, and hope for their future. Outside of work, Graham enjoys creating art and writing, has had pieces shown in gallery settings, and frequently travels between Florida and Michigan, where he grew up.
