Ayesha Butt — Senior Manager of Grants & Foundations

Ayesha Butt brings more than 15 years of national and international non-profit experience to the Foundation for Foster Children guided by a deep commitment to expanding opportunity and hope for vulnerable children and families.

Passionate about grant writing and strategic fundraising, she has built her career around mobilizing meaningful resources that transform vision into measurable impact. Throughout her professional journey, Ayesha has led and managed grant portfolios ranging from $1Million to $5 Million overseeing the full grant lifecycle from prospect research and thoughtful proposal development to compliance, reporting, and long-term funder stewardship. Her experience spans health equity, education, environmental sustainability, and emergency response initiatives.

Most recently, she served as Director of Foundations, Trusts, and Grants at Shepherd’s Hope helping advance access to quality healthcare across Central Florida. She has also held leadership roles with the American Red Cross across the Alabama/Mississippi and Central Florida regions and contributed for nearly five years in program-level capacities with the United Nations Pakistan Country Office. Her dedication to humanitarian service is further reflected in her volunteer work with Red Crescent Societies in Pakistan and Turkey.

Ayesha is a published researcher and holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences, an Advanced Grant Writing Certification from the University of Central Florida and is also Project Management Professional (PMP) trained.

She has called Orlando home for the past eight years where she lives with her husband, their two spirited redheads, Wania and Mueed, and their furry cat, Casper. Beyond her professional work and heart for service, she enjoys reading, lifelong learning, and exploring the world with her family.
