Children and youth are eligible to receive FFC services while they have an open dependency case with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Children and youth who are no longer under DCF supervision are eligible to receive FFC services for up to one (1) year following the date their dependency case closed, regardless of permanency outcome, provided they were previously served by FFC within the past five (5) years.

Permanency outcomes include, but are not limited to:
Reunification with parent(s). Adoption. Permanent guardianship. Placement with a relative or kin caregiver. Planned permanent living arrangement.

For example, if your child was served by FFC in January 2023 and adopted on June 19, 2025, they will remain eligible for FFC services through June 19, 2026.
