Sheena Thakrar — Director

Sheena is an experienced commercial litigator. She focuses her legal practice on representing individual and corporate clients in a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes,  construction disputes, lender liability disputes, creditors’ rights disputes, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, and products liability disputes. Sheena’s experience also includes litigating cases involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and other restraints on trade. Sheena has briefed all of these issues as part of her appellate practice representing clients in numerous appeals in Florida state and federal courts.  Sheena began her litigation career representing major cruise lines in maritime and class action lawsuits. In addition to her law practice, Sheena has also served as an adjunct professor of legal drafting at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Currently, Sheena serves as an adjunct professor at Barry Law School.   Sheena received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2004, where she served as Senior Notes Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy in 2003. She also received her B.A., cum laude, in English and Criminology (double major) from the University of Florida in 2001.

In her free time, Sheena enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
