Every child has unique learning needs and challenges, which is why FFC matches each student with a professional, trauma-informed tutor who provides tailored instruction and guidance. These tutors are highly qualified individuals who specialize in various subjects and are committed to helping foster children succeed academically.
FFC understands that school success is so much more than good grades. In educational coaching, students are matched with a coach who provides them with one-on-one mentorship with programming that aims to connect what they learn in the classroom to their unique interests and long term goals.
Students needs the right tools and opportunities to build their academic success and successful future. FFC aims to provide each student in our programs with the resources they need to be successful. Students can be connected to outside learning opportunities and workshops, as well as school supplies including laptops and support work books to help them stay on track and prepare for the year ahead.
These 75,000 hours of tutoring to students in the foster care system, address a critical need in Central Florida. Studies show that less than 50% of foster youth graduate high school on time, compared to a national average of 85%. By offering personalized academic support, FFC empowers these students to overcome barriers, achieve educational success, and build brighter futures—making a lasting impact on both the youth served and the Central Florida community.
FFC services are available to applicants and participants in an equally effective manner regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, religion, political affiliation, or disability.
