Become a volunteer

Join us in making a difference in the lives of foster kids! We are always looking for volunteers to assist with:

  • programs and events throughout the year,
  • daily office tasks (to include data entry, phone calls, organizing, mailing),
  • in-kind donation collections.

Apply to Volunteer with the Foundation for Foster Children

Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form at the link below.  At the end of the interest form you may select a date to attend a Volunteer Orientation at our office. Daytime and evening volunteer orientations are typically held on the third Wednesday of every month. (Holidays may create an exception.)

Make Birthday Cards

Birthday CardsFrom your very own home, you can also make birthday cards for the over 1500 kids we send them to annually. Each month the Foundation mails out handmade birthday cards to children in foster care. We want them to know that someone remembered their special day and a handmade card gives a personal touch that can bring a smile to a child’s face. It is truly a highlight for our kids! And it’s super easy. Have your class, family or scout troop be creative and make someone smile!

Here are the instructions:

  • Please use 8.5″x11″ card stock (white or color) and fold in half horizontally.
  • Cards should not have any names on them (no “to” or “from” [name]).
  • The cards should read “Happy Birthday!” on the outside and “Have a Great Day” on the inside. It’s best to stick to these simple and cheerful greetings.
  • Gender neutral cards are encouraged.
  • Be creative and use color generously!
  • Please do not apply things that stick up on the card, as the cards need to be flat for mailing purposes.
  • Mail the cards to our address:
    • 2265 Lee Rd Suite 203 Winter Park, FL 32789
