Time Commitment: Arrive by 6:00 PM (game starts at 7:00 pm)
We are looking for one volunteer to represent FFC at an upcoming Orlando Magic game and assist with distributing meal vouchers to attending foster families. This is a fun, community-facing opportunity that allows you to support families while enjoying the game alongside them.
Volunteer Requirements & Considerations:
- Volunteer must be 18 years or older
- Volunteer must feel comfortable attending a large, busy stadium environment
- Volunteer must be comfortable communicating with families in person and by phone/text
- Volunteer must be able to navigate the Kia Center independently
- Volunteer is responsible for their own parking and transportation
- Volunteer should be punctual and reliable due to the time-sensitive voucher pickup
- Please note: This opportunity takes place in a lively, high-energy setting. We encourage volunteers to consider their own comfort level with crowds and stimulation before signing up.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Arrive at the Kia Center by 6:00 PM
- Represent FFC in a professional and friendly manner
- Pick up 20 meal vouchers from Customer Service at the KIA Center
- Distribute 18 meal vouchers to attending families. The volunteer may keep 2 meal vouchers
- Use the provided list of attendees and phone numbers to coordinate distribution if needed
- Sit with or near the families (tickets are typically all on the same row or split between two adjacent rows)
- Enjoy the game with the families
- Take photos only if families are comfortable and consent
What the Volunteer Will Receive:
- All 20 meal vouchers (2 for the volunteer, 18 for families. Volunteer picks them up from Customer Services at the KIA Center.)
- 2 game tickets (one for the volunteer + one for a guest)
- Game tickets will be provided electronically by FFC 24 hours before the game. You must have both a Ticketmaster account and an Orlando Magic account using the same email address to receive the tickets.
- Seating is grouped so families and the volunteer are together or directly next to each other
