Carmen Morales-Garcia — Senior Manager, Program Operations

Carmen’s professional journey began in 2017 when she joined the Foundation for Foster Children as an Education Advocate. Throughout her tenure, Carmen has consistently showcased her unwavering dedication and expertise, propelling her to her current role as the Senior Manager of Program Operations. Carmen’s commitment to effecting positive change extends beyond her professional responsibilities, as she actively serves as a mentor with the Department of Children and Families’ Florida Youth Leadership Academy—a state leadership program designed for youth in foster care.

With a remarkable 30 years of combined professional and lived experience in Child Welfare, Carmen possesses a wealth of knowledge and insights. In 2021, she furthered her professional development by successfully obtaining a certificate in Leadership Practice from Rollins College Edyth Bush Institute. Prior to her tenure at the Foundation for Foster Children, Carmen dedicated over nine years to the Department of Children and Families, collaborating closely with Senior Leadership, Operations, and Front-line team members. In her previous role as an Integration Specialist, Carmen played a pivotal role in seamlessly integrating behavioral health support services with Child Welfare operations.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Carmen finds solace in exploring the world alongside her husband and cherishing precious moments with their beloved dog, Broly. Carmen’s diverse experiences and passion for making a difference greatly contribute to her invaluable contributions within the Foundation for Foster Children.
