Educate: connect

Through Connect, FFC provides the resources and opportunities students need to thrive. This includes academic tools like laptops and workbooks, hands-on learning experiences, education workshops, and college visits. Connect works hand-in-hand with Enrich programs (like Normalcy) to ensure youth can access tools, experiences, and support across multiple programs simultaneously. By providing practical resources and meaningful learning opportunities, this initiative empowers students to build skills, explore interests, and take steps toward a successful academic future.

TOOLS AND RESOURCES

Through FFC’s online request system, students can request funding or physical resources to help them in the classroom. Students can be provided with a laptop or other physical resources they need for school or other higher learning. Resources are made accessible to students, whether through picking up items at our offices or delivered directly to them by FFC staff. In addition, FFC works to provide funding when available for students who need to cover the cost of resources or learning experiences. Whether it is college textbooks, extracurricular fee support or other unique educational needs, FFC will work with each individual student to ensure access to appropriate materials.

EXPERIENCES

FFC strives to create and provide access to educational experiences in the community. Students are provided with opportunities to tour colleges, learn about state-wide programs available to them, and participate in summer programs to help them stay on pace for the new school year. Exposure to the benefits of an education allows students to place meaning on the work they are currently doing and motivation to improve their skills for a better future.
