Programs

The Foundation for Foster Children serves foster children in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County.

The Foundation for Foster Children provides funding for both child-specific grants and foster children program grants. Other funding is generated through collaborative grant requests. As part of our fundraising efforts, an emphasis is placed on raising community awareness of the needs of foster children. We seek a variety of contributions from individuals and organizations, including monetary donations, in-kind gifts and advocacy on behalf of foster children.

Below are our programs.

At the Foundation for Foster Children we do the best we possibly can to assist the more 1500 foster youth currently reside in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties who seek our support. An average between 40-60 children each month enters the state’s foster care system within these three counties alone.

Since January 2008 the Foundation for Foster Children has served as a support system for hundreds of foster children who struggle with emotional and educational needs.

The Foundation is not funded by government support or the United Way. We rely on the generous support of our community just as these children do. The current economic conditions have created even greater hardships on foster children and foster families.

The Foundation prepares for and strives every day to meet the demand for more support of the unmet needs of foster children entering the foster care system and for those who are aging out. We can use your help in building awareness of issues facing foster children.

There are a number of other programs and ways in which individuals and groups can be involved with our mission. We believe every foster child who needs to feel cared about should receive support. We hope you agree.

If you would like for your organization, school, church, club or youth organization have a representative from the Foundation for Foster Children contact you to present programs and opportunities in which to engage your membership in a community outreach project.
