Woody Rodriguez — Immediate Past President

General Counsel, Central Florida Expressway Authority

Woody serves as General Counsel to the Central Florida Expressway Authority which administers over 129 miles of toll roads in Central Florida and has a $2.7 billion, Five Year Work Plan. For the previous nine years, Woody was the General Counsel to Orange County Public Schools, the ninth largest school district in the country, representing the School Board and the Superintendent on educational related legal issues including labor relations and employment law matters, student expulsions, land use and zoning matters, compliance with ethics and election laws, general transactional matters and construction and finance issues. Woody provides pro bono legal services through the Orange County Bar Association’s Legal Aid Society representing children as their guardian ad litem and dedicates himself to his church, First United Methodist Church, his alma mater, Florida State University, and a few other select organizations in Central Florida serving as a volunteer on their Boards. Woody’s true passion is spending time and traveling with his wife, The Honorable Heather Pinder Rodriguez, a circuit court judge, and his two children, ages 17 and 14.
