Vanessa Hayden Johnson is a former college and professional basketball player who was a center in the WNBA for 5 seasons in the 2000s. Hayden was drafted 7th overall in the first round of the 2004 WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx. Hayden Played basketball at the University of Florida where she received her degree in Family Youth and Community Sciences. She is an SEC legend at UF. Hayden has been working in case management/social work since 2010. She is from the downtown inner-city Parramore area of Orlando. She enjoys working with teens and spending time with her family. She credits her success to her grandmother, Adella, who raised her.
