Carmen Morales — Education Advocate
Carmen joined the Foundation for Foster Children in 2017 as an Education Advocate. Carmen is a first-generation student attending the University of Central Florida and pursuing a degree in Public Administration with a minor in Non-Profit Leadership.
Carmen was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, but raised by her forever family in a small country town west of Orlando, Brooksville Florida. Prior to joining the team, Carmen served the Department of Children and Families for eight years working alongside Senior Leadership and Operations. Her most recent role with DCF was as a Retention and Development Specialist. In this role, she served child protective investigators; focusing on retention strategies, workplace culture, and employee satisfaction. Carmen has served as a mentor with DCF’s Florida Youth Leadership Academy and actively supports her hometown’s Foster Parent Association.
Carmen is committed to serving kids in the foster care system and invested in their future.
