Amanda Anderson — Early Literacy Coach
Amanda joins the Foundation in 2020 as an Early Literacy Coach. She grew up in St. Petersburg, FL and attended Florida State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs and Political Science and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration focusing on nonprofit management. While living in Tallahassee, Amanda held several roles in government and nonprofit administration and found her passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families.
Prior to joining the Foundation for Foster Children, Amanda completed the Public Allies AmeriCorps program and worked for Embrace Families Foundation as their Volunteer Relations Coordinator. During this program, she received monthly leadership skills training and obtained a Certificate in Volunteer Management from Rollins College.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys yoga, podcasts, spending time outdoors, and drinking coffee.
