This year, Jessica is starting her senior in college majoring in Sociology. She first learned about the Foundation when Raquel Tapia, Senior Manager, gave a speech at Bethune-Cookman University. Hearing Raquel talk about what she and the Foundation do to better the lives of in-need youth sparked Jessica’s interest, so she decided to apply.
For the summer, Jessica focuses on Education+ Support at the Foundation, along with our other Education Advocates. She assists with events for foster children and supports the rest of our staff in representing our children.
Jessica is a talented musician; she played clarinet from 6th to 12th grade. She’s unsure about what her future holds, but knows she likes working with children.
