Safe Spacer Volunteers
Safe Spacers are responsible for maintaining and re-stocking the safe space locations, using supplies provided by FFC. The Department of Children and Family locations are in Pine Hills and Downtown Orlando.
Primary Qualifications:
- Be dependable.
- Have a schedule that includes availability during weekday office hours.
- Enjoy tidying.
- Attention to detail.
- Open communication-timely reporting of issues/concerns for the Safe Space.
Time Commitment: 4 hours per month on average. Volunteers are asked to commit to volunteer at least two hours, on a bi-weekly basis, for no less than 3 months. Calendars are created and sent out to the safe space volunteers for the volunteer rotation and are completed ahead for 3 month periods to ensure the safe spaces are maintained regularly, as each safe space receives a volunteer visiting every week.
