We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today…

Outreach

At the Foundation for Foster Children we do the best we possibly can to assist the more 1500 foster youth currently reside in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties who seek our support. An average between 40-60 children each month enters the state’s foster care system within these three counties alone.

Since January 2008 the Foundation for Foster Children has served as a support system for hundreds of foster children who struggle with emotional and educational needs.

The Foundation is not funded by government support or the United Way. We rely on the generous support of our community just as these children do. The current economic conditions have created even greater hardships on foster children and foster families.

The Foundation prepares for and strives every day to meet the demand for more support of the unmet needs of foster children entering the foster care system and for those who are aging out. We can use your help in building awareness of issues facing foster children.

There are a number of other programs and ways in which individuals and groups can be involved with our mission. We believe every foster child who needs to feel cared about should receive support. We hope you agree.

If you would like for your organization, school, church, club or youth organization have a representative from the Foundation for Foster Children contact you to present programs and opportunities in which to engage your membership in a community outreach project.

Step-By-Step Instructions

A goal of  the Foundation for Foster Children is to increase public awareness and support of the unmet needs for the over 1500 foster children residing in the tri-county area who are there through no fault of their own. One of the best ways the Foundation for Foster Children can accomplish this goal is through speaking engagements. The Foundation’s Executive Director, Heidi Jordan, can lend a personal perspective as she grew up in the foster care system and welcomes the opportunity to speak to your organization. She has presented to a variety of community groups including: civic and faith-based organizations, business associations, children’s organizations, and schools to name a few.

Please review your form. Contact the Foundation should you have any questions. A Foundation for Foster Children representative will follow up with a phone call and/or email to your inquiry.

Thank you for your willingness to help locally abused and neglected children who need our community’s support.
